Correct Roll for the Verifone VX680

The Verifone VX680 is a wireless terminal that takes a 57x35mm roll — a mid-depth housing that won’t accept the standard 57x40mm roll used in most countertop terminals. If you’ve been ordering 57x40mm rolls and finding they don’t fit, this is the correct size. 57mm width, 35mm diameter, 12.7mm cardboard core. The 57x35mm dimension is per Verifone’s hardware specification for the VX680 model.

57x35mm vs 57x40mm — What’s the Difference?

Both rolls are 57mm wide — the difference is the diameter. A 57x40mm roll is 40mm in diameter and is the standard size for most countertop PDQ terminals including the Verifone VX520, Ingenico iCT220, and PAX S80. The Verifone VX680 has a shallower paper compartment and takes a 35mm diameter roll. A 57x40mm roll physically will not fit — the compartment door won’t close.
