| 2. Print is in the wrong place | Choose the exact label type in DYMO Connect, for example 99010 or 99014. |

| 4. Status light flashing | Usually a jam or no labels. Tear off, press the feed button, and reload the roll. |
| 5. Faded or patchy print | Clean the print head, and store labels away from heat and sunlight. |
| 6. Label stuck inside | Cut the labels at the entry slot and pull them back out gently. Don't pull forward through the head. |
| 7. Printer shows as offline | Reconnect the USB, restart the computer, and update or reinstall the DYMO software. |
| 8. Labels not recognised | If you have a 550 series printer, it expects DYMO chipped labels. See below. |

LabelWriter 550 and compatible labels
DYMO's 550 series reads a chip in its own label rolls. That means compatible rolls are generally designed for the LabelWriter 450, 450 Turbo, 450 Twin Turbo and older models. If you have a 550 and a compatible roll isn't recognised, that is the reason, not a fault with the printer. The model name is printed on the front or underneath.
How to clean a DYMO print head
- Unplug the printer and open the lid.
- Remove the label roll.
- Wipe the print head gently with a lint free cloth or cotton bud dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
- Let it dry fully, then reload the roll.
