Custom Printed Receipt Paper Cost: What Sets the Price
Bernard ColganThere's no single price list for custom printed receipt paper, because every order is printed to your spec. We quote per box of 20 rolls, + VAT, and four things set the price: how many boxes you order, how many print colours, the roll size and the paper grade. Ring us on 01 443 3964 with those four and we'll price it for you.

What sets the cost of custom printed receipt paper?
Four things: quantity, print colours, roll size and paper grade. Quantity matters most. Setting up your design costs the same whether you order a small run or a big one, so the more boxes you order, the less each roll carries. Fewer colours, a standard size and standard paper keep the price down.

How are printed rolls priced?
Per box of 20 rolls, + VAT. For our standard 80x80mm printed thermal rolls on a 12.7mm core, we price at 25, 50 and 100 box quantities, so you can see how the per-roll price drops as the order grows. Other sizes are quoted the same way. You get a VAT invoice with every order.
Do more colours cost more?
Yes. One colour is the cheapest way to get your logo or message on the back of every receipt. Two colours lift the design and suit venue and bookmaker tickets. Four colour is for full-colour artwork and costs the most. Not sure? We'll price 1 colour and 2 colour side by side so you can decide.
For ideas that work well in one colour, see what to print on your receipts.
Does the roll size change the price?
The roll has to fit your printer, so size isn't really a choice. 57mm and 80mm widths are the common ones. Tell us your printer make and model and we'll confirm the size before we quote, so you don't pay for rolls that won't fit.
Is heavy-weight ticket paper dearer?
Yes. Heavy-weight 80gsm rolls are made for betting slips and venue tickets that get handled for hours, and they cost more than standard receipt paper. For till receipts, standard paper does the job. See our heavy-weight printed ticketing rolls.
Is BPA-free or phenol-free paper extra?
All our thermal rolls are BPA-free as standard, so that's not extra. Phenol-free paper is available if you need it. Ask for it when you request your quote and we'll price both so you can compare. There's more on the difference in our BPA-free vs phenol-free guide.
What do I need for an accurate quote?
- Roll size, or your printer make and model
- Number of print colours
- How many boxes you want priced (we're happy to price two or three quantities)
- Standard receipt paper or heavy-weight ticket paper
- Your logo or artwork. Press-ready PDF, AI or EPS is best, with images at 300dpi
We send you a digital proof first, and nothing is printed until you sign it off. Turnaround is confirmed when you order, once the artwork is approved. If you'd rather add a logo from your till instead, see how to print your logo on thermal receipts.
Is a printed roll worth the extra cost?
Only if the print does something. Put a review QR code, a loyalty sign-up or your Wi-Fi code on the back and count the results while the rolls are in use. If the numbers move, the roll is paying its way.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does custom printed receipt paper cost?
We quote per box of 20 rolls, + VAT, because every order is printed to your spec. The price depends on how many boxes you order, the number of print colours, the roll size and the paper grade. Ring 01 443 3964 with those details and we'll price it.
Is custom printed receipt paper dearer than plain rolls?
Yes. You're paying for the print setup as well as the paper. The bigger the order, the smaller the gap per roll, because the setup is spread over more boxes.
What's the cheapest way to get printed receipt rolls?
One colour, a standard roll size, standard receipt paper and a bigger order. Each of those keeps the per-roll price down. Ask us to price two quantities so you can see the difference.
Are printed rolls BPA-free?
Yes. All our thermal rolls are BPA-free as standard. Phenol-free paper is also available. Ask for it in your quote and we'll price both.
