The DiscountTillRolls.ie TeamZebra mobile printers come in two main widths. 3 inch models such as the QLn320, ZQ510 and iMZ320 take a roll about 75mm wide. 4 inch models such as the ZQ520, ZQ630, QLn420, QL420 and RW420 take a 101.6mm wide roll. Match the width first, then check the roll diameter and core fit your printer's paper bay.

Rolls for other handheld printers
- 80x40mm rolls: small, light rolls for compact receipt printers and many delivery and order printers.
- 110x45mm rolls: wide rolls for handhelds used on routes and in warehouses.
- 112x48mm rolls: OEM approved wide rolls for 112mm printers.
How to measure your roll
- Width: measure straight across the paper. 101.6mm is 4 inches, and roughly 75mm to 80mm is a 3 inch printer.
- Diameter: measure across a full roll. Too big and the lid won't close.
- Core: the hole in the middle. Some Zebra printers need a specific core, so check your manual or the old roll.
Tips for mobile printing
- Carry a spare roll. A roll only takes a minute to change, but only if you have one in the van.
- Keep rolls out of the sun. Thermal paper darkens with heat, so don't leave boxes on the dashboard. See why thermal paper fades.
- Clean the print head now and then. Dust from vans and yards builds up fast. Our print head cleaning guide shows how.
