Technical Specifications

Is 60mm the Right Width for Your Printer?

60mm is less common than 57mm and 80mm, so check before you order. The size is usually printed on your existing roll wrapper or in your printer's manual. A 60mm roll won't fit properly in a printer built for 57mm or 80mm paper. Not sure? Ring us with your printer make and model and we'll tell you the right size.

If your printer takes 57mm rolls, see our 57x70mm BPA-free till rolls. If it takes 80mm, see our 80x70mm phenol-free till rolls.

BPA-Free or Phenol-Free?

Since January 2020, EU Regulation 2016/2235 has restricted BPA in thermal paper, so all thermal rolls sold in Ireland are BPA-free. These 60x70mm rolls are BPA-free. If you want a coating with no phenol-based developer at all (no BPA and no BPS), see our phenol-free thermal rolls, available in 80x70mm, 57x40mm and 57x35mm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I confirm my printer takes 60mm wide rolls?
A: Check the size on your existing roll wrapper, your printer's manual, or measure the width of a roll. If you're still unsure, ring us with your printer make and model and we'll confirm before you order.

Q: Can I order for multiple tills or locations?
A: Yes. Each box has 20 rolls. For larger orders, call +353 (0)1 4433964 and we'll sort you out.

Q: What's the difference between 60x70mm and 57x70mm rolls?
A: Same 70mm diameter, different width: 60mm vs 57mm. They aren't interchangeable, so always check your printer's paper width before ordering.

Q: Are these rolls phenol-free?
A: No. They're BPA-free, as all thermal paper in the EU must be. For a coating with no phenol-based developer at all, see our phenol-free range.

Q: Can these rolls be recycled in Ireland?
A: Thermal paper generally isn't accepted in standard paper recycling because of the coating, so it goes in general waste. The cardboard cores can go in with your cardboard.
