Is 8oz the right size?

The 8oz is the size most of our customers default to. It holds a proper açaí build — granola, fruit, drizzle, the lot — without being so big it eats your fridge space or your margins. Açaí isn’t cheap, so you don’t want to be filling a 16oz tub for every single-serve order and watching your cost per portion creep up. The 8oz keeps portions sensible for both eat-in and takeaway. Most Irish health food cafés we supply use it as their standard bowl and reorder it first.

We get a lot of repeat orders for these from açaí spots in Galway and Cork, especially through summer when some are going through three or four cases a week.

On the rPET material

These are made from 30% recycled PET and fully recyclable after use. In practice, they look and feel the same as virgin plastic — same clarity, same crack resistance. The difference is the footprint. Your customers will notice, especially the ones who chose your café specifically because they care about this stuff. You don’t need a sign saying you use sustainable packaging. The bowl does it.

On presentation

People photograph açaí bowls before they eat them. That purple base with everything piled on top sells itself through a clear bowl. It simply doesn’t have the same impact in an opaque container. Whether that’s through a fridge door or on a counter, the product is doing the work. That’s the practical reason most açaí-focused businesses use clear rPET rather than paper or opaque alternatives.

These are containers only. Compatible 117mm lids are available separately, which is handy if your dine-in vs. takeaway ratio fluctuates and you need to reorder bowls and lids at different times. Order compatible lids here.
