Do double wall cups take the same lids?
Usually, yes. Double wall cups in a standard range keep the same rim as the single wall version, so an 8oz double wall cup still takes an 80mm lid and a 12oz takes 90mm. But the outer wall can make some double wall cups slightly different at the rim. When you switch cup brand or style, test a sleeve of lids before you order a full case.

How do I know if a lid will leak?
Do this before you commit to a new cup and lid combination:
- Fill a cup with hot water to your normal pour level.
- Press the lid on all the way round until you feel it click over the rim.
- Tip it on its side over the sink for a few seconds.
- Squeeze the cup gently, the way a customer would when walking.
If water seeps out at the rim, the lid and cup are not a match. A good fit is tight all the way round and does not pop off when squeezed.
How many lids should I order?
One lid per cup, plus a little extra. Lids get dropped, dented and wasted when staff grab two stuck together. Most cafés order lids in the same case quantity as cups, 1,000 per case, and keep one spare sleeve behind the counter.
